Strategy and Product

I have led and developed pivotal strategies in advancing a range of learning and technical solutions across the UK and across industries. This has included managing a multi-disciplinary team and stakeholder management both internally and externally. I have always taken pride in what I do, particularly taking my team forward to achieve these successes.

Established an LMS and eLearning offering worth over £1.5 million within the UK health sector

Whilst working at Skills for Health as Product Manager, I managed the development of a new Moodle platform and refreshed a suite of 25 courses that were made available to the NHS for free.

After 2 years I moved this across to a chargeable model, transitioning the courses into new authoring tools, updating them, and improving the Moodle platform. This offering had an annual revenue of £1.5 million across NHS and private sector organisations.

Spearheaded a £500,000 redesign of the LMS and content offer

I developed the business case for a complete redesign of the Skills for Health offering, moving to a new LMS and expanding the portfolio of learning. I defended the business case with the board, and on approval, it was released as a competitive tender to complete the LMS work with an external supplier. Content work was carried out with contractors.

Excellence in the production of learning content learning technologies award

I managed the development of a blended program to support the improvement of communication and care for people with dementia. The course was developed in partnership with the University of Worcester and I put it forward for the Learning Technologies awards with my team, where it was shortlisted in its category.

Pitches and proposals

I have worked on a number of large pitches and bids for pieces of work, recently pitching for a large partnership project for an automotive finance company to develop blended learning across their network with wrap-around support and communication. I generally have carried out pitches in a studio environment and we have been successful on most occasions.

Pan-European learning portal and courses

Ensured the development of a pan-European learning portal and suite of courses for the RESILENS (Realising European Resilience for Critical Infrastructure) multi-million-pound project. We collaborated directly with partners in Germany and Portugal. The aim was to improve crisis and disaster resilience concepts and was aimed at all European member states.

National e-assessment project

Part of the UK-wide development of the use of e-assessment in statutory and mandatory training.

This was a project centered on the development of a model of assessment and bank of questions. These questions became part of UK-wide statutory and mandatory training. I was responsible for the complex technical solution that pulled questions from large banks, randomizing the questions to ensure a more robust model for learners.

Moved to blended learning

Moved the portfolio from classic eLearning to a multi-faceted digital approach including video, animation, podcasts, and blended learning
